Stihlyn Chamberlain-Scott, PhD

Title: Licensed Psychologist

Locations: Livonia

Approach to Treatment: I am passionate about exploring the intricate layers that shape each individual's development. My specialization lies in conducting comprehensive assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions, and I integrate the developmental psychopathology perspective and Bronfenbrenner's ecological model to guide referrals effectively. By collecting information from various aspects of a child’s life, and engaging with parents and teachers, I gain valuable insights into their overall functioning and the influence of external stressors, such as sleep patterns. I use the information gathered to then select appropriate evidence-based behavioral interventions for positive transformation.

Experience and Training:

I received my PhD in School Psychology from the University of Arizona. As a school psychologist, I possess a deep understanding of the education system which I use to navigate available school supports to ensure the best outcomes.

With years of training in a neuropsychology private practice, I specialize in conducting comprehensive assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions, such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities, and learning disabilities. My expertise extends to administering and interpreting a diverse range of neuropsychological assessment measures, including specialized ADOS training.

In addition to my clinical work, I have a strong background in evidence-based interventions, particularly focused on improving sleep hygiene. My dedication to research has led to impactful contributions in sleep-related studies. I have collaborated on projects funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), resulting in several publications and conference presentations. Currently, I am working on a community outreach project aimed at enhancing practitioners' understanding and practice of pediatric sleep.

I am dedicated to offering personalized care and support to diverse populations and look forward to working with your family!

More about Me:

I am from Tucson, Arizona but fell in love with all the outdoor adventures Michigan has to offer, and decided to stay after my internship at C.S. Mott’s Children’s Hospital. I love an early morning coffee and exploring with my husband and two dogs.
