Thriving Minds’ Confident Kids Camp has been providing group intensive therapy for hundreds of children with Selective Mutism for over 10 years, helping them build confidence, reduce anxiety, and improve communication in school, social, and home environments. Led by experienced therapists, this program supports meaningful progress in all areas of a child’s life.
CONFIDENT KIDS CAMP (CKC)

Confident Kids Camp is a 5-day, intensive therapy program designed to help prepare children (ages 4-18) with Selective Mutism for the upcoming academic year.

Confident Kids Advanced Camp is a 3-day intensive therapy program designed to help prepare children (ages 5-8) with Selective Mutism tackle advanced goals in preparation for the upcoming academic year.
Confident Kids Advanced Camp (CKaC) is a good fit for…
Campers ages 5-8 years old
Campers who have made positive progress in individual treatment and/or have previously attended an intensive camp (CKC or similarly-run camp)
Campers who can establish some speech with most new adults and peers, but will benefit from continue practice growing their confidence in advanced social, conversation skills, and self-advocacy such as:
Initiating and maintaining conversations
Utilizing social niceties
Navigating tricky peer situations
Asserting opinions, advocating for personal needs
Partner and group work
Whole-class presentations
Caregivers who have a base knowledge of brave coaching techniques, and who are motivated to gain additional knowledge and practice in how to facilitate brave speaking practice for their child, with an emphasis on facilitating peer interactions and prepping for school activities
