Approach to Treatment: Kailyn has a passion for working with children, adolescents, and their families to support them in achieving their unique goals. She prioritizes utilizing evidence-based practices along with creativity and fun to build trusting and empathetic relationships with her patients. Kailyn believes that collaboration with parents/families, as well as school staff as needed, is crucial in creating lasting and meaningful change. She wholeheartedly believes in the resilience of her patients and is excited to support them in their journeys.
Areas of Expertise: Anxiety-based disorders, Depression, Childhood Development, Relational Stressors, Personal and Vocational Development, Parent Training, and Psychological Assessment.
Kailyn utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Processing Interventions, and Psychoeducation.
Age Range: Children and adolescents ages 6-18 and adults
Experience and Training: Kailyn received her Master's in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University in 2022. She previously earned her bachelor's in both Counseling and Childhood Development from Central Michigan University in 2018. Kailyn has experience working as a therapist for children, adolescents, and adults both within school and clinical settings.
More About Me: Kailyn enjoys spending time outdoors (especially fishing, exploring, and gardening) and loves animals. She was a dancer and dance teacher for many years and values the importance of physical wellness for overall health. She loves spending time with her husband and daughter, along with their two cats.
